A sharp (*) or a flat(b) before ar note indicates that the note is raised or owered a half step, respectively AS sharp or flat is called an accidental. The key signature indicates which notes receive accidentals by placing N the accidentals on the spaces where the notes fall on the staff. A natural (4) cancels an accidental. When you play the correct note by pressing its button, the note will play 3 times.
